Shopify Support & Implementation Engineer

Conspire is a Shopify Plus partner agency working with established e-commerce brands across supplements, health, and home goods. Our team focuses on high-end Shopify builds, conversion-focused UX, and ongoing growth support for brands doing millions in online revenue.

We’re looking for a Shopify Support & Implementation Engineer to own technical execution during US working hours.

This role is ideal for someone who deeply understands Shopify and enjoys solving real problems quickly - implementing features, diagnosing issues, and helping our project managers deliver solutions for top brands.

You’ll operate as the technical point person during the day, working alongside project managers while our global engineering team handles longer-term development.

What You’ll Do

• Implement new features and improvements across Shopify storefronts

• Diagnose and resolve issues on live Shopify stores

• Support project managers and clients during US business hours

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Work across both storefront code and backend integrations

• Extend and integrate third-party apps and services

• Maintain and improve Shopify themes and custom functionality

• Communicate technical options clearly when multiple solutions exist

• Ship work quickly while maintaining high code quality

This role requires someone who can move fast, be reliable, and take ownership of solving problems.

Core Skills

Shopify Platform Expertise

• Strong experience with Shopify theme development

• Deep knowledge of Liquid

• Experience with Shopify Admin API and Storefront API

• Familiarity with Shopify Functions

• Strong understanding of Shopify platform capabilities and limitations

Frontend Development

• HTML / CSS

• JavaScript

• React

• Shopify theme architecture & Liquid

• Performance optimization and debugging

Backend / Engineering

• Experience working with Node.js

• Familiarity with backend frameworks such as NextJS Functions NestJS

• API integrations and webhook-based workflows

• Comfortable working with the terminal, git workflows, and modern development environments

Platform & Ecosystem

You’ll regularly work with technologies across the Shopify ecosystem including:

• Shopify and Shopify Plus

• Liquid and modern JavaScript frameworks

• Shopify APIs (Admin API, Storefront API)

• Third-party apps and integrations common to the Shopify ecosystem

• Third-party API integrations

Strong familiarity with the broader Shopify platform is important.
